Ugo De Cesare
Ugo De Cesare was born in Naples, Italy, in 1950.
He studied at the “Academia d’Arte” of his city. When he finished his studies he taught for a few years, but finally he decided to become a full time artist
Ugo De Cesare is a humanity painter. He portrays the ones who suffer, who hope and live together to the great sorrows and small joys. We can read his humanity, that is neither falsehood nor artificial, in his canvas. We can see the humanity in the face of a laughing woman, or in the innocent expression of a playing child.
With a pictorial virtuosity he addresses his efforts towards an anxious search of chromatic effects. With a learned search of images of a lost time, his work can be likened to the grand masters of the eighteenth century.
At present, his works hang in the most important art galleries all around the world and he is frequently invited to the most prestigious art events.
