Fruhmesser

Gunther Fruhmesser was born 25th August 1958 in Dusseldorf. His father was a well-known painter and taught his son Gunther how to prepare the colours on his palette when Gunther was just 12 years old. When he finished elementary school he immediately began to paint landscapes and floral work in all his leisure time while he studied political economy at the university and graduated in 1986.

In 1987 he spent one year in England and Scotland studying the old masters in the museums.

In his paintings he tries to capture the momentary atmosphere. Thus his paintings are like a document of the time they are being created.
