Madjid

Madjid was born in Tehran, Iran into the well-known artistic Rahnavadkar family in 1943. He has been painting and sculpting since he was fifteen years old and in 1959 was honoured with the French-Persian RASI prize for his paintings and a year later, for his sculptures.

He has lived in Munich for over 25 years and it is here that his artistic development was further formed.

Madjid practices the modern real terminology of dynamic painting produced from what can be seen and thought, from knowledge and sight. His paintings are not only a ‘self portrait’ but an inner landscape. He paints as he lives and, when he paints, the fullness of the trees, the deep still waters and mountains are awakened to new life.

His works can be found in many leading private collections, not only in Europe but also in America and Asia and his ability and industriousness have made his name and impression on the international art scene.
