Janie Meyer
Janie was born in Andijk, a small village in the Netherlands, in 1938.
She spent an idyllic childhood growing up on a farm. As a young girl, Janie was not interested in dolls or other toys; she far preferred her colouring pencils and spent her time sketching her surroundings.
She studied art at the Colleges of Amsterdam and Maastricht. Her paintings today mainly depict scenes incorporating chickens, cows, ducks, landscapes, although she enjoys painting still–life compositions which are much sought after.
Over the years, Janie’s work has become internationally well known. Her paintings have been exhibited all over Europe and are in the private collections of numerous individuals and companies.
