Born on The Wirral just by Liverpool, Dotty was inspired to draw by her father from a young age who painted al fresco commissions for dancehalls and cinemas. This led to her studying art at Wirral Metropolitan College before pursuing a degree in Film and Animation at the University of Humberside.
Following this, Dotty spent many years employed as a digital artist and worked on high profile projects including Disney titles and popular games. Dotty Earl continued this role as a freelancer whilst creating book illustrations and art for clothing lines.
Dotty soon found herself sketching and painting in more traditional mediums yet inspired by her interest in dark fairy tales, alternative music and 50s fashion. From here the artist soon found demand for commissions and through her exploration of fine art has rediscovered her love of painting.
Forest Gallery is proud to represent Dotty Earl and her humorous artwork.
