Still Water Peace & Quiet
Why we love this piece
We love how David Alderman sets the lone white swan adrift in deep emerald water, creating a gentle pause beneath the playful rhythm beyond. Trained at Salford School of Art, David builds his imagined Cheshire landscapes in layers from intricate sketchbooks. His design eye gives every mark a lively sense of purpose. A charming original for collectors drawn to pastoral warmth, rich colour and quiet storytelling.

Now living and working in Cheshire, David’s multi-layered paintings capture pastoral scenes of imagined landscapes. The artist’s local environment provides ample inspiration for his jovial and somewhat naïve artwork, with local grazing sheep surrounding much of the countryside.
