Still Life Paintings
A classic subject artists for centuries, still life art continues to be a popular genre in the fine art world. Still life paintings inspire and encourage us to view often everyday objects with renewed fascination. Still life artists nowadays incorporate some of the same techniques and subject matter of an art genre which dates back to Egyptian times. As one of the principal genres of Western art, still life paintings involve a subject matter which does not move or is no longer alive. This can include all types of man-made objects as well as natural organic matter such as flowers, food and wine. Still life art by Bryan Hanlon, Raymond Campbell and Dutch master Lion Feijen can be seen below in our collection of still life paintings.
