Keith Sherwin
Keith Sherwin was born in the city of Stoke-on-Trent, in Staffordshire, England. Stoke-on-Trent is home of the pottery industry in England. The region itself is actually known as ‘The Potteries‘, and the local residents are known as ‘Potters‘.
Keith trained as a ceramic artist with Royal Doulton at the Burslem factory. The company was and still is widely renowned within the sector and dates back to 1815.
Keith Sherwin started learning how to work in clay by himself. Furthermore, his aim is to capture the beauty of nature and showcase this through his designs. He works in fine bone china as well as in bronze sculptures.
Keith’s sculptures span a variety of subjects such as dogs, cats and wildlife as well as figurative work. These often stand out with accented colouring.
His particular style has elevated him to a privileged position amongst his peers in the sector. Many collectors worldwide admire, cherish and collect his work.
