Gunther Fruhmesser

Gunther Fruhmesser was born in 1958 in Düsseldorf.

His father was a well-known painter and taught Gunther how to prepare the colours on his palette when he was a young boy. When Gunther finished primary school he immediately began to paint landscapes and florals in all his leisure time.

He went on to study political economy at university and graduated in 1986.  In 1987 he spent one year in England and Scotland studying the old masters in the museums.  In his paintings he tries to capture the atmosphere of the moment with his paintings being like a document of the time they are being created.
