Gyula Boros

Gyula Boros was born in 1950 in Budapest and developed a great love of painting from an early age. A self-taught artist, he began his career studying the technique of the old Dutch masters of the so called golden epoch.

Although he began by painting landscapes, Gyula was more attracted by the still life paintings which he saw in museums. His extraordinary talent for drawing was a great help and he developed a special technique to create special colour effects and plasticity. His still life scenes are full of detail which captivate the viewer.

Gyula has held exhibitions in Budapest, Vienna, Salzburg, London, Lyon, München, New York and Philadelphia.
