Ronald Berger, born in 1943 in Salzburg, Austria, comes from a family with a rich legacy of actors and artists. This creative environment nurtured his early interest in the arts, eventually inspiring his journey as a painter.
After completing his university studies, Ronald pursued his passion for painting under the tutelage of Prof. Knapp and Prof. J. Steiner. These formative years included extensive private study, as well as travel to some of Europe’s most renowned museums in Italy, Spain, France, and the Netherlands. There, he meticulously studied the techniques of the old masters, drawing inspiration from their timeless artistry.
Ronald’s first exhibition in Vienna was met with resounding success, propelling him onto the international stage with subsequent shows in Kitzbühel (Austria), Düsseldorf (Germany), and London. Known for his precise and highly detailed painting style, Ronald masterfully employs the techniques of the old masters, creating works that are both technically impeccable and artistically evocative.
Specialising in exquisitely detailed and atmospheric still-life paintings, particularly of fruit, Ronald’s work has garnered the attention of collectors worldwide. His ability to capture light, texture, and depth imbues his pieces with a remarkable realism, making them increasingly sought after.
Ronald Berger has enjoyed long-standing representation in the United Kingdom by Forest Gallery, where his work continues to captivate audiences. Collectors can also request bespoke framing options, tailored to complement the artwork’s timeless elegance.
Commissions are available for those seeking a personalised piece of Ronald’s artistry. Please get in touch to discuss special requirements, framing options, or bespoke projects—we would be delighted to assist.
