Alan Smith was born in Kiel, Germany in 1941. He came to England in 1953, where his family has lived on the South coast ever since.

Alan Smith was a qualified engineer by profession, and spent many years in the Middle East. Whilst working abroad he often painted during his spare time.

Alan is a self-taught artist who has developed many different styles. His ability to adapt and improve his technique has enabled him to develop a unique style in his paintings. Alan began painting in watercolours, but now specialises in working in acrylics and oils.

Alan’s paintings reflect scenes of South West England in an almost architectural quality of drawing details and outlines.

Since retiring, Alan has devoted his time to painting and travels extensively throughout the UK. During his travels, Alan collects material for inspiration. His paintings are becoming increasingly sought-after.

UK DELIVERY
Free insured delivery via courier on all orders over £250, typically within 5 working days. If framing is required please allow 10–14 days. You will receive order confirmation and tracking details once booked — if you need delivery on a specific day please note this at checkout.

Some large artworks under glass may require a specialist courier and are excluded from the free delivery offer; we will contact you to confirm before proceeding. Express delivery and professional installation are available in some areas — please get in touch to arrange. Please note that all dimensions are approximate and rounded to the nearest inch.

INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY
We deliver artworks worldwide. For the majority of countries shipping charges will be applied automatically at checkout. If you are outside of these regions you may still purchase online and we will contact you with a competitive quotation for delivery to your country. Alternatively please get in touch for a quotation prior to purchase.

RETURNS
For your peace of mind, we offer an extended 30 day returns option for any online purchase. We suggest you retain the original packaging if you are considering this option as we reserve the right to deduct any damage which occurs during return transit. Once we have received the return it will be checked and a refund will be issued less the return postage costs.

Home Viewing Options +

For those living close to our galleries we offer a Home Viewing Service – this is available within a 10–15 mile radius – please get in touch with us to confirm availability.

Alternatively, and for those further afield, we offer a Home Approval Service which allows you to borrow an artwork for up to 7 days. To take advantage of either of these services please get in touch to discuss your requirements.

INTEREST FREE FINANCE
