Gerhard Nesvadba Coastal and Riverside

Gerhard Nesvadba’s coastal and riverside collection brings together tranquil waters, sunlit banks and richly wooded landscapes. Painted in oil on canvas, these scenes explore the play of light across rivers and reflections, with verdant willows, waterlilies and flowering banks creating secluded, peaceful settings. Woodland paths glow with golden light, while high-summer coastal views open the collection towards the beach and sea.

Ranging from medium to extra-large in scale, the paintings are defined by layered greens, gentle touches of purple and yellow, and luminous water. Their generous proportions and immersive compositions convey the quiet atmosphere of time spent beside the river, beneath trees or approaching the coast.
