Håven is a contemporary Norwegian abstract artist whose vibrant, multi-layered compositions explore the intersection of landscape, memory, and emotional experience. Born in 1985, Håven has developed a distinctive visual language that transforms the Nordic environment into dynamic abstract narratives through bold colour palettes and experimental mixed-media techniques.

Working primarily in mixed media, Håven combines acrylic, oil, and cold wax with oil pastels, soft pastels, and charcoal to create works of remarkable textural complexity. His technique involves building up layers of paint and drawing materials, creating surfaces that invite both visual and tactile engagement.

Håven’s practice encompasses both bold, landscape-inspired compositions featuring dramatic colour contrasts – deep blues, warm oranges, and pristine whites that echo Nordic light conditions – and more minimal, contemplative works that explore space and silence. In his quieter paintings, scattered geometric forms and linear elements float across neutral grounds, creating cosmic compositions that suggest constellation maps or molecular structures. These works demonstrate his range from the gestural and earth-bound to the ethereal and celestial, unified by his consistent exploration of mixed-media possibilities and spatial relationships.

Through his innovative use of mixed media and distinctive visual vocabulary, Håven continues to explore abstract painting as a means of expressing complex relationships between human experience and natural environment, establishing himself as a significant voice in contemporary Norwegian art.

UK DELIVERY
Free insured delivery via courier is available for all purchases over £250. We aim to deliver artworks within 5 working days unless framing is required (in which case 10-14 days). If your order is urgent please specify this and we will endeavour to meet your requirements. Delivery times are an estimate and we will keep you informed if this delivery window is likely to be exceeded.

You will receive confirmation of your order and tracking details once delivery has been booked. If you wish to receive your artwork on a certain day, please specify this in the order notes when checking out.

Please note that some large artworks under glass may require a specialist courier and are therefore excluded from the free delivery offer. In such instances we will contact you prior to arranging delivery and you will have the option to confirm your order. Saturday delivery and express delivery is available for a small charge of £25 – please contact us to arrange this. Professional installation may be offered by quotation to some areas of the UK as well as same day express delivery. Please contact us to arrange these alternative options.

INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY
We deliver artworks worldwide. For the majority of countries shipping charges will be applied automatically at checkout. If you are outside of these regions you may still purchase online and we will contact you with a competitive quotation for delivery to your country. RETURNS
For your peace of mind, we offer an extended 30 day returns option for any online purchase. We suggest you retain the original packaging if you are considering this option as we reserve the right to deduct any damage which occurs during return transit. Once we have received the return it will be checked and a refund will be issued less the return postage costs.

If you are experiencing any technical difficulties or do not have access to the Art Visualiser app then email a photograph of the space and wall where you would like to see the artwork and we will do the rest. If you can include some dimensions as a reference point it will help to scale the painting correctly against your wall.
