Traditional Landscape

Traditional landscape paintings represent the natural landscape in an accurate fashion. Common features of landscape paintings are trees, rivers, grassland, clouds and hills, all which provide interest and familiar reference to the viewer. Traditional landscape artists aim to recreate the natural scenes presented before them on the canvas, with the lighting and natural colours and shapes of the landscape a key feature of paintings.
