The Art Of Gifting

1.Think about their style/Consider a Gift Voucher as an option

Think of the particular style of the person you are buying the gift for. Are they traditional and obsessed with still life? Outdoor lovers who may find solace within wildlife, seascapes and landscapes? Or do they prefer colourful and fun naïve contemporary scenes that keep making them smile? Maybe you would like to say thank you with a small and thoughtful sculpture for your always attentive loving friend? Our advice is to get personal and think of happy memories you have shared with them to inspire your choice. Have you had a holiday together to somewhere exotic? A cityscape/landmark based painting may work. And if you all love long walks in the park? A painting of a beautiful countryside scene may appeal to that person.

If you are finding the choice overwhelming perhaps consider one of our Gift Vouchers to suit your budget and personalise with a thoughtful message.

2.Set a budget

It is always useful to set yourself a budget, it will help you focus the selection of artworks on offer and minimise the time spent on the perfect gift hunt! Filter by price on our shop page to help you stick to it. Still feeling picky? Maybe consider getting family and friends involved as an easy way to increase the budget and number of options. Our up to £500 shop filter is a great place to start.

3.Consider your timeframe

Art has not traditionally been the type of gift which you can pick up last minute. However, we aim to deliver UK orders between 2-5 days and internationally within 7-10 days. In a rush? Specify on your order notes and we will try our best to accommodate your needs or consider collecting from our beautiful and charming shop in the town of Petworth, West Sussex.Remember to check the description to note whether you are looking at framed or unframed artwork. If you want to gift art ready-framed, ensure to factor in the time and cost it will take to do this (around 2 weeks).

4.Talk to the experts

You would be surprised how a simple 5 minute chat could help transform your ideas into a reality. Send us an email or pop by. If you are stuck, we can help!
