David Supper
David Supper went to Art School in Manchester where he developed his unique hard-edge realism style of painting. David worked as a freelance Graphic Designer before becoming Head of Art at The Forest School in Berkshire, where he taught photography as well as art.
David was born in Frimley, Surrey and since starting his education always had a strong interest in all aspects of Theatre where he acted, directed and designed sets for many productions. David also writes poetry and has had four books of poems published to date.
David’s style of painting means that even on large canvases he works with small paint brushes, using acrylic paint, applying several layers to achieve a flat finish that has been recognised as taking art into a different dimension. He concentrates on producing a view of the world through landscapes and urban scenes as well as using still life as a starting point in expressing his view of the world.
David has exhibited and sold his work at Thompson’s Gallery in Bond Street amongst others. His view of the world is bold, clear and only (very) occasionally abstract. David has been commissioned many times and his work has gone to Australia, USA, Israel and most recently Canada as well as the UK.
