Ilenia Rosati

Ilenia Rosati was born in Italy and lives and works in the beautiful city of Pisa. Having graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, Ilenia let her creative abilities blossom and pursued a career in painting and illustrations.

Colour is the predominant feature of Ilenia Rosati’s work, focusing on the joy to be found within bright combinations and a naïve style palette. The artist is a successful illustrator for children’s books and finds the representations of characters and magical worlds uplifting and inspiring.

Working on canvas, the artist combines painting mediums to create varying effects. Ilenia finds the fluidity and transparency of inks and dyes affords a dynamic element to her artwork and introduces subtle shifts in colour density, adding to the mystery of works.
